Jennifer Ann Garner is an American TV and film actress and film producer. She achieved her share of fame through the famous spy thriller television series by J.J. Abrams, ‘Alias.’ She played the role of ‘Sydney Bristow’ in the series and instantly became the darling CIA agent of American television. Her portrayal of the character was so realistic and relatable that she was nominated for several ‘Golden Globe’ Awards and won the ‘Screen Actors Guild Award.’ With recognition on television, she started making her presence felt in Hollywood with cameo roles that she did in movies like ‘Catch Me If You Can,’ ‘Pearl Harbor,’ etc. She got her breakout role in the movie ‘Daredevil,’ an adaptation of a comic book story, in which she worked along with her future husband, Ben Affleck. From then onwards, Garner started getting lead roles in movies. She has been appreciated for her charming and simple depiction of characters in movies. Garner was married to actor, director, and producer Ben Affleck and had three children with him.

Jennifer Garner was born on April 17, 1972, in Houston, Texas, to Patricia Ann and William John ‘Bill’ Garner. Her father was a chemical engineer and her mother was an English teacher. She was brought up in West Virginia.

Garner started taking ballet lessons at the age of three and continued dancing throughout her youth. However, she did not want to become a dancer. She was raised in a conservative environment which required her to visit the church every Sunday.

She attended ‘George Washington High School’ in Charleston and later went to ‘Denison University’ to study drama. Initially, she did not want to be an actor as she wanted to become a doctor or a librarian.

She also studied at the ‘National Theater Institute’ in ‘Eugene O'Neill Theater Center,’ Waterford, Connecticut.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theater performance in 1994.
