Jennifer Lawrence is a mom!

TMZ reported that the Don't Look Up actress has given birth to her first child with her husband, art gallerist Cooke Maroney. The couple welcomed the arrival of their child in Los Angeles, though the child's name, gender, and exact date of birth are still unknown.

The Oscar-winning actress's pregnancy was announced last September, her representative confirmed to People at the time. Since, Lawrence has opened up sparingly about both her maternity experience and her relationship with Maroney, whom she married in an ultra-private Rhode Island ceremony in 2019.

Speaking with Vanity Fair last year, she reflected on setting boundaries when it comes to her personal life and feeling a need to protect her baby's right to privacy.

"If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, 'Oh, my God, you're expecting a baby,' I wouldn't be like, 'God, I can't talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho!' But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can," the Hunger Games alum told the magazine. "I don't want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work."

She also admitted that she felt "nervous" about opening up. "I haven't spoken to the world in forever," she continued. "And to come back now, when I have all of these new accessories added to my life that I obviously want to protect. … I'm nervous for you. I'm nervous for me. I'm nervous for the readers!"
