Imagine the air rushing past your face with the faint smell of funnel cakes in the distance. It might be the smell of summer for coaster enthusiasts eagerly awaiting another Jersey Shore season.

Amusement piers and boardwalk rides are reopening soon. While some wait to announce the date of their return, others are ready to get back on the saddle. It is important to check with the different parks and piers to ensure the correct information is out before going.

To date, this is what we have gathered:

Atlantic City

Steel Pier - April 16

Keansburg

Keansburg Amusement Park - April 2022 – no specific date has been announced

Long Beach Island

Fantasy Island Amusement Park - Arcades are open Saturdays from noon until 9 p.m and Sundays from noon until 6 p.m. The outside rides will reopen in the spring. No formal date has been announced

Ocean City

Gillian’s Wonderland - No date listed, although it said in February it’d be opening in two months

Playland Castaway Cove - April 9

Point Pleasant

Jenkinson’s Boardwalk - Rides will be opening the weekend of April 9 and 10

Seaside Heights

Casino Pier - The casino pier rides will open back up on April 9. The pier will open every Saturday and Sunday, at noon, through mid-may

Wildwood

Morey’s Pier - Piers begin opening on April 29
