Jersey Shore: Fans Resurface Roger's Ironic IG Post Prior To ...

The fans of Jersey Shore have resurfaced one of Roger Matthews' ironic Instagram posts prior to his divorce from Jenni "JWoww" Farley. The fans were first introduced to Roger on Jersey Shore season 3. As time went by, the viewers watched his relationship with Jenni evolve. Moreover, Roger was also a major part of Jenni's spinoff series, Snooki & JWoww.

In 2014, Roger and JWoww welcomed their first child together. One year later, Jenni and Roger tied the knot at an extravagant wedding where they announced that they were expecting their second child. On the other hand, Jenni and Roger started going through their messy and public divorce in 2019. Roger is known for always speaking his mind on social media, despite the backlash he may ultimately get. As such, without much surprise, Roger did just that throughout his split from Jenni.

Even though Roger Matthews has since deleted all the videos and photos related to his divorce with Jenni, one fan found an old post on his Instagram profile that read as quite ironic. After a fan did some digging on Roger's IG account, a Reddit was started to discuss a post from September 8, 2017 where Roger shared a screenshot of a text conversation between him and Jenni. As longtime Jersey Fans viewers know, Roger would often make jokes about their relationship. In this now four-year-old conversation, Roger joked that Jenni should "date a 24-year-old after [him]." When Jenni noted that Roger would always "love talking divorce," he retaliated by calling himself a "realist."

As the conversation continued, Roger noted that his divorce jokes never implied that he'd be the one filing for divorce. Roger claimed that if they ever did file for divorce (which did happen years later), it would be Jenni's decision. Not only was divorce indeed going to happen for the couple, but Jenni also did end up dating a 24-year-old man when she was finalizing her divorce from Roger. To make this even more ironic, Jenni's current fiancé Zack Clayton attended her wedding with Roger. In the caption of the post, Roger joked that "romance is [his] specialty." While Roger has claimed that he is actually happy for Jenni with her recent engagement, the fans could not believe the irony of this old post.

These Redditors also found it to be quite odd that Roger took the time to delete all of the posts from their divorce but did not remove this one from his account. Old photos of the couple, as well as family photos, remain on his page as well. Not only was it odd to Jersey Shore fans that Roger has not deleted this post, but they also don't understand why he even posted it in the first place. This reads as a very private back-and-forth text exchange between a couple, so it didn't need to be shared on Instagram. With that said, Roger does have numerous intimate and private conversations with Jenni still posted on his page as well.
