RTENOTITLE
Evolved from: - Evolves into: Wigglytuff (with Moon Stone)
Locations: Route 3 in Blue/Red and Routes 5-8 in Pokemon Yellow.
This Pokémon naturally learns the following techniques:
LV 01 - SingLV 09 - PoundLV 14 - Disable LV 19 - Defense CurlLV 24 - Double SlapLV 29 - Rest LV 34 - Body SlamLV 39 - Double Edge
Tips: The big-eyed pink balloon may be more of a star in Japan than in the US, but Jigglypuff's still got quite a number of followers over here (if you're good enough in Super Smash Bros. to beat your opponents with Jigglypuff, then you're probably one of them). When you catch a young Jigglypuff, it will only know its infamous Sing technique that will lull your opponent to sleep -- very helpful, but not effective unless you've got some powerful attacks to keep the momentum going. Sadly, Jigglypuff's overall stats aren't all that hot, but it's got good Attack and outstanding HP values to at least make up a little for the lack of Defense, Special and Speed. Things get better once you evolve Jigglypuff into a Wigglytuff, but remember that Wiggly doesn't learn any moves on its own. You're best off evolving Jigglypuff at level 29, when it knows Rest, or level 34 when it has learned Body Slam. Note that you need a Moon Stone to evolve Jigglypuff.

Like with Clefairy and Clefable, Jigglypuff's most powerful feature is its high amount of HP. Battles can last a really long time, especially when going up against a high-level Jigglypuff equipped with Seismic Toss, Sing and Rest. To speed things up, use a move like Toxic in the beginning, or bring in a Ghost who can't be hit by the Normal type moves like Pound and Double Slap. Rock types work very well, too.

This Pokémon can learn the following HMs and TMs:
TM 01 - Mega PunchTM 05 - Mega KickTM 06 - ToxicTM 08 - Body SlamTM 09 - Take DownTM 10 - Double EdgeTM 11 - Bubble BeamTM 12 - Water GunTM 13 - Ice BeamTM 14 - Blizzard TM 17 - SubmissionTM 18 - CounterTM 19 - Seismic TossTM 20 - RageTM 22 - Solar BeamTM 24 - ThunderboltTM 25 - ThunderTM 29 - PsychicTM 30 - TeleportTM 31 - Mimic TM 32 - Double TeamTM 33 - ReflectTM 34 - BideTM 38 - Fire BlastTM 40 - Skull BashTM 44 - RestTM 45 - Thunder WaveTM 46 - PsywaveTM 49 - Tri AttackTM 50 - Substitute

Origin: In Japan, Jigglypuff is actually called Purin -- which stands for "Pudding". For the US name, Nintendo figured it would be better to use another name that still expresses its jelly-like appearance. Yep, it's just that. Jigglypuff is a singing jiggly puff.
