Young John Cleese began his career as a scriptwriter and a cast member, for Cambridge University Footlights Club (1963). He got his first big break as a scriptwriter and performer in BBC satirical television show The Frost Report (1966-1967). He made his big screen debut in British drama film Interlude (1968) in role as T.V. P R Man. John breakthrough came with various roles in surreal sketch comedy series Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969–1974), he is also co-creator and writer.
