The John Deere Classic is a professional men's golf tournament, part of the PGA Tour, and typically played in July each year. First played in 1971 under the name Quad Cities Open, this tournament became a fully-fledged PGA event in 1972.
Throughout its history, the tournament has moved between several courses in Iowa and Illinois. Since the year 2000, the TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, has hosted the event every year. In 2013, Jordan Spieth made history at the John Deere Classic by becoming the first teenager to win a PGA Tour event since 1931.
Often played the week before The Open, this tournament serves as one last chance for players to qualify for the prestigious major – the event has even sponsored a chartered flight to Britain on the Sunday evening – so they'll be going all out to perform.
The United States' Davis Thompson showed as much during the 2024 edition as he won with a tournament-record score of 28-under par, earning him his maiden PGA Tour title and a spot in The Open.

Children aged 15 and under are entitled to free Grounds admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult. No ticket or pre-booking is required.
Families who have registered to become members of the Kids Club will be sent a special promo code in the spring that will enable adults to purchase half-price tickets for Wednesday.
Discounted Hopper Plus and Courtyard at 18 tickets are available for children aged 15 and under.
👨🎓 Student Tickets
Students aged 16 and over with a valid student ID can receive 50% off Grounds passes purchased at the gate upon arrival.
🧓 Senior Tickets
Seniors aged 60 and over can purchase discounted Grounds passes on Friday for $30. Please note, ID may need to be shown at the gate.
🪖 Military Tickets
Active duty, retired military, and veterans of the armed forces who hold a Common Access Card (CAC) or valid ID card are entitled to 2 free Grounds tickets per day, which must be registered for online in advance.
👨🦽 Disabled Tickets
There are no discounted tickets for disabled visitors and so a full-priced ticket must be purchased.

Mastercard cardholders can receive a 10% discount on Grounds tickets.
First responders are entitled to 2 free Grounds tickets on Thursday and discounted Grounds tickets for Wednesday and Friday-Sunday, which must be registered for online in advance.

TPC Deere Run is located in Moline, Illinois, approximately 12 km east of Uptown. With a range of tournament parking options available, and a dedicated rideshare drop-off area, arrival by car is recommended.
🅿️ Parking
All ticket holders are entitled to free tournament parking, which will be assigned via your mobile ticket. Please park in the assigned lot, and please note parking in the neighbourhoods near TPC Deere Run is not included.
The parking lots are as follows:

- Free Public Parking – Black Hawk College (6600 34th Ave, Moline, IL 61265 - 70th Street Parking Entrance) · Friday-Sunday

- VIP Parking (hospitality guests only) – Rock Island County Fairgrounds (Archer Dr. and Avenue of the Cities East Moline, IL) · Wednesday-Sunday

*Please note, some mobile map apps may reroute that address to Mississippi Ct on Campbell's Island, however Bend XPO is in East Moline next to Hyatt Place/Hyatt House and the Combine restaurant. Parking and the entrance is located on the North side of the building.
Shuttles are provided from all car parks (except for the handicap lot, which is located on-site) to transport spectators off at TPC Deere Run's main entrance. The shuttles will run from 06:00 until 21:00 each day from the public and VIP parking lots.

🚖️ Taxi
There is a designated taxi and rideshare drop-off point located at the main admission gate.
🚍 Coach & Bus
TPC Deere Run can be reached via public bus routes 30 and 55. Get off at Troy Drive stop, which is 100 m (1 min) walk from the main entrance.
🚆 Train
There is currently no train station in Moline.
🚶♂️ Walking
If you're staying in Carbon Cliff then the main admission gate is approximately a 2.0 km (24 min) walk, so arrival on foot may be practical. If you're further afield in Colona or East Moline, the walk would be approximately 3.8 km or 5.3 km, respectively.
