General Contractor Jonathan Walters is a part of HGTV’s lifestyle tv program Home Town along with the pair Erin and Ben Napier. The show is about a couple who renovate turn-of-the-century homes for young families, first-time buyers, and adults who wish to live closer to their grandchildren. 

In 34 episodes of HGTV’s Hometown, Jonathan Walters has made personal appearances. After three seasons of the show, he left the home renovation show. Through a May 2019 Instagram post, Erin announced Mr. Walters’s departure from the show. In the caption, she wrote,

Mr. Walters has been serving customers in both custom new construction & renovation projects for almost a decade. As he is going back to SW Florida, where his building career started at the age of 17, Jonathan is now training to become a licenced contractor in the state of Florida.

The Home Town star loves spending time with his family while not researching blueprints or on a work site, and can always be seen running or riding a bike during the hottest part of the day.

Children and Adoption

Mr. Walters and his wife Gabrielle lost their only child Jonathan Brooks Walters, who was only 17 months old, on November 20, 2015 at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital. The couple had welcomed their only child on June 10, 2014. 

Later, Jonathan Walters and his wife Gabrielle adopted three boys named Matthew, Eli, and Isaac.

According to GoFundme, the couple’s biological son was diagnosed with Dandy Walker Syndrome at birth. He suffered daily seizures, bouts of pneumonia and many lengthy hospital stays in his 17 months of life.

The pair welcomed the fifth member of the family on 22 May 2019 after the finalized decision made by the judge.
