Modeling Career

After briefly modeling as a child, Jordyn Woods was signed to Wilhelmina International in 2015 after an agent found her on Instagram. A year later, she walked in her first runway show for Lane Bryant and Christian Siriano, showing off some of the world’s most luxurious fashions. Woods was also a model for Khloe Kardashian’s clothing company, Good American, from 2016 to 2019, gaining her a lot of attention.

In 2017, Woods walked in her first New York Fashion Week show and graced the cover of the September issue of Cosmopolitan UK.

TV & Film Career

Jordyn Woods made her TV debut in 2017 and appeared in every episode of Life with Kylie and a few episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. As Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Life with Kylie revolved around her and Wood’s daily lives. It ran for a single season with eight episodes.

In 2019, Woods was a celebrity guest on VH1’s Hip Hop Squares, and she competed in the third season of The Masked Singer as Kangaroo. That year she also made her acting debut, appearing in an episode of the American teen drama Grown-ish as the character Dee. Her character was meant to draw attention to black mental health on college campuses, as her character contemplates suicide. Soon after, she landed a role in the BET+ film Sacrifice and had a leading role in the 2020 BET+ film Trigger.

Business Ventures

In 2018, Jordyn Woods launched her own size-inclusive line of activewear called SECNDNTURE which was also marketed to be affordable. This line included everything from leggings to windbreakers, and she promoted it heavily on Instagram as an activewear line for every body type. The same year, she partnered with Kylie Cosmetics to release the Kylie x Jordyn collection, and it was one of their first collaborations outside of TV.

In 2019, Woods launched another clothing line in partnership with the online retailer BooHoo, and she modeled her new clothing on Instagram. However, shortly after announcing her new line, Kim Kardashian seemed to diss her on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. At one point, Kim is caught saying during a call that Woods is only able to provide for her family because of what Kylie has “given” her.

That said, though they aren’t as close as they used to be, there appears to be no lasting animosity between Woods and Jenner.

Recent Ventures

Jordyn Woods appeared in Rick Ross’s music video for the song “Big Tyme” and then launched her own line of hair extensions called Easilocks in October 2019.

In 2020, she collaborated with PrettyLittleThing to create the Quarantine Collection of glam yet comfortable clothing for all body types. A year later, she launched a fitness and well-being app called FRSTPLACE with the goal of helping her community members improve themselves. FRSTPLACE was designed to provide fitness plans created by professional trainers and recipes designed by expert nutritionists.

Most recently, Woods was spotted at the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show, where she briefly reunited with former bestie Kylie Jenner.
