Endorsements

Regarding shoe endorsements, Jrue Holiday had a lengthy relationship with Adidas but has since signed a multi-year deal with Nike. His earnings from either brand have never been publicly disclosed.

When Forbes listed Jrue among the world’s highest-paid athletes in 2019, they estimated his annual endorsement income at $500,000. What’s interesting about this is that it was one of the lowest salary-to-endorsement ratios of any athlete on the list. For someone earning almost $30 million per year in salary at the time, you would expect them to be earning at least $2-$3 million per year off the court.

When Forbes put the list together, Holiday’s primary sponsors, other than Nike, included Carnival Corp., Panini, SeatGeek, Smoothie King, and Sprint mobile. Upon checking Jrue’s endorsement portfolio during our latest research, we found that he has one of the largest portfolios in the league, encompassing over 25 brands. Some of these brands, other than those mentioned above, include:

  • Thorne Nutrition
  • JUST Egg
  • UBALL
  • Popeyes
  • Motorola
  • National Guard
  • Amp Human
  • Tonal

Given his extensive endorsement history, we have to assume that his off-court earnings have risen dramatically since 2019. It’s also worth noting that, towards the end of the year, ESPN’s Nick DePaula tweeted that Jrue had just re-signed with Nike on a multi-year deal. This announcement occurred after the Forbes Highest-Paid Athletes list was published.
