New ChecklistAll ListsMy ChecklistsAllAll ListsMy ChecklistsThe Minecraft Jungle biome is one of the later-added biomes in Minecraft, and has become a classic in its own right. In addition to normal Oak Trees, Jungle Trees can be some of the largest in the whole game, having 2x2 trunks that can reach 30 blocks in height. As well, vines will be growing off of nearly every natural surface, making it a great place to make mossy stone objects. However, the vines and sheer density of the trees also makes Jungles incredibly difficult to navigate.
Jungles are however home to many unique things rarely found anywhere else, including Bamboo to make Scaffolding, Cocoa Pods to bake Cookies, Melons as a source of food, Parrots that can be tamed to perch on you and warn you of incoming hostiles, Ocelots that Creepers will keep their distance from, and Pandas, which are just cute. Lastly, Jungle Pyramids may be ridden with traps, but finding the two chests can be a source of good loot, such as Gold Ingots and Diamonds.

Jungle Variants
There are two variants to the Jungle biome:
| Bamboo Jungle | Sparse Jungle |
|---|---|
| Bamboo Jungles are regular Jungles with Bamboo covering almost every ground tile. While this slightly increases the chances of Pandas, Bamboo cannot be passed through, making this biome one of the most difficult ones to navigate. Some ground tiles are also replaced with Podzol. | The Sparse Jungle is the more easy-going cousin of the regular Jungle biome. Fewer trees spawn in these places, and Jungle Trees will always be small, never the famously sky-scraping kind in the other two Jungle variants. This is also the only Jungle biome to never spawn Jungle Pyramids. |
