rodthrower R Is blue/white as popular as ever? I know that normally, that is my first choice, but this year...man oh man, the other colors are making it a tough call. Anybody have any past production number info broken down by color? It'd be interesting to see how Suzuki decides how many of each color to make... #1 · Feb 19, 2006 Is blue/white as popular as ever? Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Feb 19, 2006 Blue/White is still my top choice Black/grey doesn't stand out as much as I think a sport bike should Red/black only reminds me of my 2005 GSXR 600 #3 · Feb 19, 2006 They are all nice. My second choice would be the Silver/Grey because its kind of stealthy and does not stick out as much. Blue/White is nice too. I love my Red/Black the best though , Suzuki did a great job with the layout on this scheme..IMO the red and black is laid out perfectly. #4 · Feb 19, 2006 I was torn between the silver/black and the red/black. I evenually buaght the red & black because it stands out more, and since my recent crash I wanted the brightest color I could get. The silver blends in with the roads around my area. And I must say I have always been a red and Black kinda guy anyway. My last bike didn't have any red on it so I pinstripped it! Image #5 · Feb 19, 2006 The black and grey has 10 more hp. No joke #6 · Feb 19, 2006 Purple and pink. #7 · Feb 19, 2006 I say black/grey then white/blue #8 · Feb 19, 2006 close your eyes and do the eenie minie mo thing...All colors look great just a matter of opinions. #9 · Feb 19, 2006 Post a poll Image Blue/White is the traditional Suzuki racing colours and to me it seems SO right on the K5 Image #10 · Feb 19, 2006 Yea man, I couldn't go past the blue/white. It's like those colours were made for the bike. Yummy. #11 · Feb 19, 2006 don't blast me for my opinion, but I think the K6 comes in verypoor design schemes. The colours are okay but the designs....... I don't know, I think the blue and white is the best, I think some of the best designs were on the 97/98 750's. Or maybe thats just a memmory of when I started riding road bikes #12 · Feb 19, 2006 Blue and White definately, much more aerodynamic? #13 · Feb 19, 2006 I own the Gun metal Grey. But i think the best is probably the Blue and white. Pictures Simply do not do it justice. The metal flake White and blue is outstanding. The paint looks like it should be on a Cadillac or something. I think the Grey looks the best in photos , or darker light , To me It has a little too much flake in it in bright sun light, it borders on looking like a bowling ball. Maybe I am picky but if the Grey had even 10% more flake in it it would be gaudy. So if I had to give some advice , I would tell any one looking to buy a motorcycle ,Do not buy until you have seen the Blue and White for yourself in person in the Sun. I think it could change alot of minds when you see it. Never buy the two tone Grey because you saw it in a photo , You might think otherwise once you see it in person. I think Suzuki did a great job using Paint to contrast the different colors and kept it tasteful. Most of my buddys ride Triumphs and Ducatis the all are mono color bikes and Minus the Yellow 99-01 955s are flat paint at that. MY paint looks down right aftermarket compared to them. They do have better Fit and Finish but I have much much better paint( well and in a straight line i leave them all like they are not moving) #14 · Feb 19, 2006 Blue and white. It just fits better on the K6. Image #15 · Feb 19, 2006

Great post, man. That's exactly the kind of info I think is helpful. Sure, everybody has a favorite color, and let's face it, if this was a poll, the blue/white would win hands down I'm sure. The thing I'm wondering is, for 2006, are we gonna see the other colors 'compete' more w/the blue and white in terms of how many will be made. Does demand drive this? Or, does Suzuki have it figured out beforehand.... FWIW, I saw the gray/silver in person and it does sparkle. Some will like it, some not. But one thing is for sure, pictures don't tell the whole story. #16 · Feb 19, 2006

Pure sex Image #17 · Feb 19, 2006 <~~~~~~~~~~ #18 · Feb 19, 2006 I was sitting there saying I wanted the grey. Then the man said the red is cheaper since it isn't in demand. Then I snapped out of wanting the grey because it was different and went for what i wanted reguardless. Got the blue/white. I'm happy. #19 · Feb 19, 2006 I Like my red and black quite well Image #20 · Feb 20, 2006

I waited three Weeks for the Grey to come in. My sales person had told me They would sell ten of the grey right now if they had them. I sat for three weeks looking at a Blue and white one and the red one. I dont like the red , not that it is a bad color , I do like the Red and black contrast on the tail , but compared to the blue and white paint it was hard to like the "simple" red paint. For three Weeks i kept saying to myself , If the blue and white looks this great I cant wait to see what the Grey looks like. By week three I was ready to take the blue bike home if the grey did not show up that week. The Truth is , I was dissapointed some what with the grey. It looks good , but grey and black( really grey and dark grey) SHOULD look good , It did not wow me like the blue and white. I will allways Remember the 955I from Triumph in its Fleck paint mustard yellow , I will allways remember the Ducati 916 in Red, I will allways Remember the k5 and k6 1000s in Blue , even though I owned a two tone grey one.
