ORIGIN Kelly Ripa is an American talk show host and actress. She’s best known for the shows ‘Live! with Kelly and Michael’, and ‘All My Children’. Ripa was born on October 2, 1970, in Stratford, New Jersey. Her mother, Esther, is a homemaker, and her father, Joseph, is a bus driver and labor union president. She has a younger sister named Linda. Ripa attended Eastern Regional High School followed by Camden Community College. She dropped out of college before completing her psychology degree.

CAREER Ripa took ballet lessons as a child. She was also featured in various local theater productions. Her stage credit includes the comedy play, The Ugly Duckling, written by A.A. Milne. Ripa performed on the dance show, Dance Party USA, from 1986 to 1992. She landed her breakthrough role as “Hayley Vaughan” on the ABC sitcom, All My Children, in 1990.
