Saturday, May 7th, marks the 148th running at Churchill Downs. Often referred to as “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports,” you can watch the first leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown on KSL 5 TV.

The 148th Kentucky Derby will be available for live stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. You will need a login credential to watch on NBCsports.com. The broadcast will also air on NBC’s premium streaming service, Peacock.

The first leg of the Triple Crown

Kentucky Derby is the first leg of horse racing’s “Triple Crown.” The Preakness takes place on Saturday, May 21, and then the Belmont Stakes is on June 11.

What time does the actual race begin?

The most exciting two minutes in sports begins at 4:57 p.m. (MT). Before that, at 4:09 p.m., the Kentucky Derby contenders and their connections walk from their barn to the Paddock.
