We are ready to witness the 148th Kentucky Derby.

The covering of the most famous horse race around the world begins at 2:30 pm ET.

The race for the Triple Crown will have 20 horses ready to combat for the title.

Who are the horses racing this year, and what are their odds?

Zandon: 3-1

Epicenter: 7-2

Messier: 8-1

Mo Donegal: 10-1

White Abarrio: 10-1

Taiba: 12-1

Smile Happy: 20-1

Charge It: 20-1

Crown Pride: 20-1

Zozos: 20-1

Simplification: 20-1

Cyberknife: 20-1

Happy Jack: 30-1

Summer Is Tomorrow: 30-1

Tiz the Bomb: 30-1

Pioneer of Medina: 30-1

Barber Road: 30-1

Classic Causeway: 30-1

Tawny Port: 30-1

Ethereal Road: 30-1

Who is absent from the race?

This weekend's races will happen without Baffert, whom Churchill Downs suspended for two years following Medina Spirit's failed postrace drug test and eventual disqualification as the winner of last year's Derby.

Who are the favorites?

Zandon and filly Nest are the morning-line favorites for the 148th Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks, respectively, at Churchill Downs.

Zandon, trained by Chad Brown, drew 3-1 odds Monday and will start from the No. 10 post among 20 horses for the $3 million marquee event for 3-year-olds.

He has two wins, a second-place finish, and a third in four career starts.

Zandon has the "perfect" spot dead center with Flavien Prat aboard, Brown said.

"We're ready to go," added Brown, who enters his eighth Derby seeking his first win after Good Magic finished third in 2018.

How to watch?

Let's remember that the first Saturday of May is reserved for the Kentucky Derby.

Compared to the 2020 edition, fans will be back at the stands.

In the 2020 Kentucky Derby, the "fastest two minutes in sports" happened in September without people present.

The race for the Triple Crown is NBC.

NBC offers live coverage of the event happening at Churchill Downs.

If you have an online stream, you can watch the 'Run for the Roses' via Fubo TV.

The Kentucky Derby coverage begins on Saturday, May 7 at 2:30 pm ET until 7:30 pm ET.
