Simply shake the bottle and apply at the listed application rate. Thoroughly apply to place a thin, uniform layer of dust on both upper and lower sides of leaves, stems and flowers. Follow the specified application rate for your specific area, which are listed on the bottle. Use this dust as a preventative application or to control existing pests in your lawn or garden. Sevin Insect Killer Dust kills more than 150 insect pests by contact. Use this to kill and control unwanted insects around home foundations, lawns, shrubs, ornamental and flower gardens, fruit and vegetable gardens. This can also be used as an outdoor barrier treatment, providing more protection. Sevin Dust protects strawberries, raspberries, pears, sugar snap peas, broccoli, squash, pumpkin, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, peanuts, carrots and many more listed fruits and vegetables from pests like aphids, armyworms, Japanese beetles, stink bugs, thrips, and many more. Do not dust on open blooms to protect pollinating insects. Once applied to plants, wait at least 24 hours before watering. Can Sevin dust products be mixed with water? Sevin Insect Killer Dust Ready to Use comes in a shaker container and should only be used as a dry powder. The product is not intended to be mixed with water. Sevin Sulfur Dust may be used as a dust or mixed with water according to label instructions and used as a spray.
Do Sevin pesticides control all insects? Sevin products are broad-spectrum pesticides. This means they control a wide range of insect pests. However, the number and types of insects controlled depends on the product. Liquid Sevin Insect Killer Ready to Use2 kills and controls more than 700 insect pests. Sevin Insect Killer Concentrate and Ready to Spray liquid products kill and control more than 500 insect pests. Sevin Insect Killer Lawn Granules and Sevin® Garden Perimeter Insect Killer Granules kill and control more than 100 insects. Sevin Insect Killer Dust Ready to Use kills and controls more than 150 insect pests. Consult each product label for a complete list of pests the product kills and controls.
Once I've applied Sevin pesticides, how long do I have to wait until people and pets can reenter the area? With Sevin liquid pesticides, keep the treated area free of people and pets until the product spray has dried. For granular applications, wait until the treated area has been watered in and dries thoroughly. For dust products, wait until the dust has settled before reentering the treated area.
