Kitchen Knife - Staffordshire County Council

Kitchen knife

Recycle

Kitchen knives can be taken to any of Staffordshire’s recycling centres and placed in the scrap metal container.

Disposal

You can put kitchen knives in your kerbside general waste bin. Please wrap the blade in newspaper or card. Waste collected from your kerbside general waste bin will not landfilled, it will be sent to one of Staffordshire’s energy recovery plants where the waste is burnt to produce energy. This is turned into electricity and put back into the National Grid. Strong magnets remove metals from the ash.
