Kraft Mac & Cheese and pizza flavored ice creams landing exclusively at Walmart

Last summer, Kraft and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream introduced Kraft Macaroni & Cheese ice cream for a limited time.

That time turned out to be very limited. According to the Food Network “it sold out online within one hour, crashing the website where it was available for purchase in mere minutes.”

On Twitter today, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese said, “You screamed. We screamed. So much screaming. Mac & cheese @vanleeuwen ice cream available at Walmart.com and select Walmart stores 3/14.”

The Food Network reported the Macaroni & Cheese ice cream will be sold “for ‘a 10-week rotation period.’”

The mac and cheese flavor is one of seven Van Leeuwen flavors including pizza, Wild Blueberry Shortcake, Hot Honey, Royal Wedding Cake and Bourbon Cherries Jubilee that will rotate through Walmart nationwide, according to Van Leeuwen’s Instagram.

Van Leeuwen said on Instagram, “Yup. You heard that right. You’ve had pizza. You’ve had ice cream. It’s only natural to have some Pizza ice cream. One large cheese Pizza (ice cream) please:- Cream cheese and mozzarella ice cream- Tomato jam swirl- Basil crust cookies.”

As for Hot Honey, the brand said, “COMING SOON: HOT HONEY. Raise your hand if you’ve ever drizzled hot honey onto your ice cream. It’s a combination you might not think of until you try it and then think, how have I never tried this before? So, we’ve made things easy for you. No honey jar required.”

When the ice cream first came out last summer, the brands said, “To create the creamy treat, Van Leeuwen churned the familiar, cheesiness of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese into their ice cream made with only a few ingredients. The result? A cool, creamy scoop of ice cream that brings that comforting, nostalgic feeling from a warm bowl of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.”
