In 2014, he negotiated a new deal with the Raptors worth $48 million over four years. He earned $36 million on the deal before declining the fourth-year option and re-signing with Toronto under a new three-year $100 million contract. Lowry earned $94.4 million of the contract’s value before it expired in 2020, when he re-signed a new one-year deal worth $30.5 million.
In 2021, a sign-and-trade agreement was reached. Lowry signed an $85 million, three-year contract and was traded to the Miami Heat. In two seasons spent playing with Miami, Lowry earned $55.3 million before being traded to the Charlotte Hornets in the latter half of the 23/24 season.
The Hornets bought out his contract, and he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers just one month later. Lowry played for half a season with the 76ers, earning $2.8 million. However, he also retained $13 million from the Hornets and $15.5 million from the Heat. With his contract expiring this year, reports say that the 76ers want to re-sign Lowry, but no official negotiations have yet occurred.
Thus far in his NBA career, Kyle Lowry has earned $274.7 million.
