I liked the conclusions.by graybags posted 2 years agoBingeWatcher415 wrote: Anybody else watching and enjoying the show despite it ending too soon? Yes I'm watching, no I'm not enjoying, and no it's not ending too soon :)by BingeWatcher415 posted 2 years agoJust watched S03E05 - really well done! The story line picked up the pace and got very interesting! Went to https://www.nbc.com/nbc-insider/show/la-brea and found out that sadly, this is 3rd and final season. Next week is S03E06 and the series finale. I really don't want the show to end. I wish it would continue for a few more seasons so we could see the time travel technology exploited instead of the show being tied up neatly in the final episode. Think of the fun they would have using time travel to create chaos and havoc to the timeline and history as we know it. The premise of building fighter jets with time travel tech to go back in time and win wars that were lost would be a game changer. Even more interesting is the fact that Maya plans to sell the tech to the highest bidder opens up a myriad of sinister scenarios that will now not be esplored. Anybody else watching and enjoying the show despite it ending too soon?by sasilik posted 2 years agoDuring the 2'nd season I started to get the feeling like it's some soap opera with touch of sci-fi and now half way into 3rd it only deepens.by BingeWatcher415 posted 3 years agoI am loving Season 2. I watch for entertainment value. Killing, drama, suspense, sinister plot, romance, time jumps, the 80s. What's not to love? ;) :P ;) I watch for entertainment value and I am very entertained. Considering they had to film during Covid-19 challenges and restrictions, I am impressed by the show.by lighton posted 3 years agog371 wrote:I think one guy in IMDB review summed up perfectly: "Sometimes, I'm in the mood for some NBC trash." :D These days, I prefer to watch nothing instead of trash. :)by g371 posted 3 years agoI think one guy in IMDB review summed up perfectly: "Sometimes, I'm in the mood for some NBC trash.". Great for a background noise, not that you will lose anything if you will miss a half of it. Love the Fear the Walking Dead approach of explaining things: "it does not matter" - don't think about it, we know as well it's a massive plot hole :Dby imadsani posted 4 years agoPhenjamin wrote: Thanks. Welcome to my, focusing on minute unimportant details, brain.by lighton posted 4 years agoPhenjamin wrote:EDIT: I thought about this for a bit and I see what you were saying. Even if the buildings and roads were broken up, there would still be a literal mountain of debris. THIS! It has bothered me from the beginning... tons of sand/ dirt should be visible, but not one bit is. Ah well, it's a cheap show after all. :)by Phenjamin posted 4 years agoimadsani wrote:*sigh* while the latest episode was gripping, I started to focus on the set in 10kBC, who decided how much of the landmass would make it through the phenomena? why did portions of the land masses(buildings, roads, cars etc) but the humans made it through in full, no half cut humans or limbs? I'm assuming that roads and buildings just broke apart when falling into the sink hole. Humans, well, they should have just went *splat* when hitting the ground. Maybe a bunch did, and the ones left alive are just the few that somehow survived. I mean a giant sink hole opened up in LA. You'd think a 10's or even 100's of thousand people would be involved, so the odd 100 or so that we see might be all that's left. Or maybe there are different groups scattered around or that went to another time slightly in the past or future from our group. Just keep watching to find out I guess. As for myself, I'm enjoying the show. I can overlook bad acting and bad CGI if the story is consistent and well written (for right now I'll give this a "well ENOUGH written story" and just have fun with it. EDIT: I thought about this for a bit and I see what you were saying. Even if the buildings and roads were broken up, there would still be a literal mountain of debris. Maybe the rift filters out most of the non organic stuff? Or it somehow only lets inorganic stuff (like cars) through if organic material was in close proximity? Thanks. Now this is going to bug me too ;)View all comments » | | |
