Mandarin When you say "late" February, do you usually mean the day after February 15th or 20th or even later than 20th? Thanks! cropje_jnr

Canberra, Australia English - Australia To me, it's from about the 20th onwards. Any earlier and I would tend to refer to it as "mid-February". Copyright

Penang American English The earliest I would think of is the last week of the month, and usually the three or four days. But it might depend on what's being talked about. JamesM

Los Angeles, California English, USA It's the same for me. It is not a specific term but I would think of it as at least the last third of February and probably the last week or so of February. SwissPete

94044 USA Français (CH), AE (California) Early February - the first third Mid February - the second third Late February - the last third. By the same token: Early 2010, mid 2010, late 2010. That's the way I see it. :D brian

Montréal AmE (New Orleans) I'd say last week (or ideally last 5 or so days) of February. I would not consider, e.g., Feb. 22 to be "late" February, even though it's in the last third/in the 20's. You must log in or register to reply here. Share: Bluesky LinkedIn WhatsApp Email Share Link
