I have seen a very hot world with blackened terrain and red highlights, suggestive of being a volcanic world, but i've never seen active volcanic activity on any world.nor have i seen earthquakes or any suggestion of plate tectonics. Any volcanologist will tell you, lava won't give you bad burns like Anakin suffered (poor wee lamb). Get within a few yards of a river of magma and you entire body will explode instantly into superheated steam. Like a piece of popcorn in hot air. You are now a wisp o' vapor. (smells like pork, if you're interested.)Pretending for a moment that people raised in southern California do have a fraking clue what fire or ice looks or acts like, Mustafar was clearly rich in some metal worth mining and, like our own planet Mercury, was a nice toasty place where said metal remains molten. Also say it was tidally-locked,so cold air constantly flowed in from the dark side allowing them to breath even one breath in a place where a river of titanium flowed like back-lit jello.Damn I get cranky when I watch movie physics!</rant>Now, that being said, I've played about 3k hours of NMS and have yet to see any natural geological activity. It makes sense, given that these planets have no poles. (Haven't you noticed that the day/night cycle is the same length no matter where you landed?) No ice crevasses. No apparent erosion. No layering of he strata.
