Costs, Fees and Payment Information
Weber State's Law Enforcement Academy provides thorough preparation for those planning a lifelong career in criminal justice. The training is a great value, averaging $7,000. The academy offers a payment plan, and financial aid may also be available to those who qualify. Call 801-626-6261 for details. Full-time Academy Become eligible for the Auxiliary/Special Functions Officer, the Basic Corrections Officer and the Law Enforcement Officer certifications. Registration will require a non-refundable $100 administration fee.- There is a non-refundable $35 POST application fee. This fee, paid by the student, will give access to the POST application.

Module 1(SFO/BCO)
Become eligible for the Auxiliary/Special Function Officer and the Basic Corrections Officer certifications. Cost: $2,500Module 2(LEO)
Become eligible for the Law Enforcement Officer certification (must successfully complete Module 1 as a prerequisite). The cost for Module 2 is based on the ammunition you choose:- 9mm: $4,882

- Payment Methods Tuition is due by the first day of class. Visa, Mastercard, American Express*, Discover, checks and money orders are accepted. Pay via the Online Portal: Log in to your eWeber portal from the weber.edu homepage. If you're logging in for the first time, watch the tutorial on how to navigate the portal. Once in the portal, search for and select "View/Pay Tuition and Fees," then click on "Current Semester Student Payment Suite." Optional Payment Plan
Pay for your tuition in four equal installments.* The first payment is due by 4 p.m. the Friday after classes begin. The remaining three payments are then due monthly. For information about the payment plan, contact WSU's bursar's office at 801-626-6190/8018. To make a payment with a credit or debit card, call 801-626-6039. *: if you would like to pay using an American Express card, please call 801-626-6600 . At this time, American Express cannot be processed using our electronic payment suite. - Fingerprinting
- Each student will be required to complete a LIVESCAN fingerprint, the authorization form and code can be found by clicking on this link
- Fingerprints may be done at a local police or sheriff's department or at the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI). Appointments can be scheduled at BCI or by following this BCI fingerprint link.
- NOTE: Not all police departments offer fingerprinting, be sure to call ahead and check for available times and/or if you need an appointment.

- Military-Affiliated Student Center - Weber State University If you are a veteran, you may use your GI bill benefits to pay for WSU's Law Enforcement Academy, depending on your individual eligibility. If you have questions about which benefit you should apply for, call WSU's Military-Affiliated Student Center at 801-626-6039.
- Refund Policy The $100 administrative fee is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. The $35 POST application fee is due at the time the POST application is accessed and is non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued for the purchase of ammunition. Once registered, you are obligated to pay unless you notify the academy of your withdrawal.
