ORIGIN Lil Yachty is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He’s also a member of the group, The Sailing Team. Yachty was born Miles Parks McCollum on August 23, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Pebblebrook High School in Mableton. He studied briefly at Alabama State University but dropped out to pursue music.

CAREER Yachty was influenced by artists like Lil B, iLoveMakonnen, Soulja Boy, and the band Coldplay. His debut mixtape, Lil Boat, was released in March 2016 by Quality Control Music.
