1. ^ Israel claims that a point at 33°21′, at 2,236 m high on the south slopes of Mount Hermon, is its northernmost point. Israel has annexed and administers the relevant Golan Heights territory, but its territorial claim is disputed in international law, and is unrecognised by other countries and most international maps.
