The Minnesota Pharmacy Syringe Access Initiative is a program to reduce HIV and HCV transmission among people who use injection equipment and do not always have access to clean syringes.

• The cost of syringes may vary from $2.50 to $5.00 per pack.
• To simplify the purchase process, contact the pharmacist on duty to verify participation.

You can also access syringes free of charge at syringe exchange programs. Visit Syringe Services Programs Network Calendar for information about this and other exchange sites under the other exchange locations heading.

MDH is working on updating and verifying the list below. If you plan to visit a particular pharmacy to purchase syringes, consider calling beforehand to verify that they do sell syringes. If you experience inaccuracies or challenges purchasing syringes at the pharmacies listed below, please contact [email protected].
