Lita Battled Trish Stratus For The WWE Women's Championship

• Lita was the first woman to be involved in three RAW main events.
• She and Stratus made history as the first women to wrestle in the main event of the show with no male stars involved.

Not only was Lita one of the first women to main event Monday Night Raw, but she was a part of the first three RAW main events to feature a female. The first came during a mixed tag team match, where she teamed with The Rock to face Triple H & Trish Stratus. Next, came a Women’s Championship match against Stephanie McMahon, with The Rock as the special guest referee.

However, the most notable was her Women’s Title win against Trish Stratus, in the first singles match between two full-time women in a main event, which featured no male superstar in any sort of capacity. This was a historic match and lives fondly in the memories of many fans around the world.

Just like most other stars in professional wrestling, Lita started off at the bottom when she first joined WWE. With less than a year of experience under her belt, Lita's first WWE match ever took place at a live event where she took on Jacqueline. Not only that, but it was also a WWE Women's Championship match. While she did come out on the losing side, it was not a bad start for the WWE Hall of Famer.

While fans are most familiar with Lita's time spent in WWE, they may not be aware that she actually spent some time in "The Land of Extreme" before she signed with WWE. Back in 1999, Lita joined ECW after Paul Heyman directly reached out to her. This led to Lita wrestling four matches for the promotion before she went on to sign with WWE in 2000. During her time there, she was an in-ring competitor and was the on-screen girlfriend of Danny Doring.

At the time when Lita was at her most popular, women did not have nearly the same amount of opportunities that they do now in business. Lita also broke the mold by having a truly unique look at the time. With her becoming so popular, it only made sense that WWE put their Women's Championship on her on more than one occasion.

Throughout her career, Lita captured world title gold four times. Despite all of her reigns being under 100 days, Lita certainly became a fixture of the Women's Championship scene throughout her time in WWE.

At 5'6", Lita isn't the tallest female WWE wrestler. But there are dozens of wrestlers who are at least a few inches shorter than her. Even Lita's biggest rival in WWE, Trish Stratus, was billed as 5ft 4in.

But just like with any other major wrestlers, height never became an issue for Lita. At least in her case, her height was around average for a female WWE wrestler.

Before she became a wrestler, Lita played bass guitar for several bands. In 2006, she formed The Lucagors and became the lead vocalist.
