We have a small herd of around 20 female adult llamas who make up our breeding stock, along with 7 unrelated stud males imported from Switzerland , Italy, Canada and the USA , and it is normally the offspring from this core group that are available to buy each year. All our young llamas are born and bred on the farm, and raised here so I know every animal very well in terms of their parentage and personality, how they handle, their medical history, and their suitability for different purposes and different owners requirements. As a member of the British Llama Society I am a registered breeder and have signed up to their code of conduct for selling llamas. In addition we sometimes have adult llamas for sale , including trekking llamas, pregnant females and stud males ,and can suggest suitable "groupings" if you are looking for several llamas.

 CRIAS Born in 2023 : Many of our adult females gave birth to crias in 2023 , some in May and the rest in July/August. Many of these crias are now for sale , having been weaned and halter-trained .

BUYING PACKAGES :

If you like the idea of young crias gracing your fields but dont want the responsibility of breeding then sometimes we may be able to offer you a rare opportunity to buy pregnant females or adult females with cria at foot These proven adult females will have been or can be re-bred here at Harts Farm , which is ideal if your aim is to start a small breeding herd , and they could be accompanied by an unrelated male as a suitable herd sire for future crias. If you are interested then please contact us for more details of which adult  llamas might be available . 

If you have specific needs such as trekking llamas , therapy llamas , companion llamas for alpacas or livestock guardians please let us know. 

STUD MALES may also be available to buy , but regrettably we don`t offer stud services or outside matings.

Sonic Boom Clearly A Gringo The Small Print: Llamas are fabulous! Of course I'm bound to say that, but some llamas are a lot more fabulous than others, and here's the small print: Some llamas are downright horrid!! Unfortunately, the less appealing llamas and the totally neurotic unhandleable llamas are the ones that tend to get regularly advertised and sold on from one new owner to another, sometimes for peanuts and sometimes for quite a lot of money. This is a shame all round because it does nothing for llama P.R. , stresses the llama out even more, and can be a fairly costly and disappointing experience for the unsuspecting buyers. The cost of keeping a llama and the work involved is just the same for an unruly or highly strung llama as it is for the most loveable biddable family pet, (in fact sometimes a lot more for the nervous unapproachable sort) but the amount of enjoyment you get from one sort or the other is massively different! Buyer beware! Not all llamas are the same, so be sure you choose the right ones for you who will fit right in and be fun to have around for many years to come.
