Lost SinnerBy Jared PettyShawn SarisThreetrees+29.8k moreUpdated: May 12, 2014 11:36pm UTC

The Lost Sinner is a boss found at the bottom of Sinners Rise. She is a melee boss who is extremely aggressive and attacks with a powerful greatsword.

How to Beat the Lost Sinner

She seems to have no weakness to any one element, although this is currently unconfirmed.

Melee Characters

Close range characters are going to have the joy of dealing with this girl right up in their face. Although there are a few ways to deal with her, the easiest is to get a large shield with 100% melee block and simply block her every attack. Circle around her as you do this and some of them will straight out miss while others ping off your shield.

The 2 other options are to either dress light and dodge her attacks or if you are feeling adventurous, parry her. All of her attacks can be parried, but it's no easy feat and will make the fight much harder for you. No matter your strategy, a fast weapon is suggested. The Sinner is very agile, and won't stay still long, making large 2-handed weapons tough to land.

If you have beaten the Belfry Gargoyle beforehand, you will have the Bastille Key. This can be used just before the fog door for the Lost Sinner to open up the doors found up the stairs on the left and right. Bring a torch and light the oil here and it will cause large torches to light inside the boss arena, making it much easier to see and letting your lock on stay active. If you don't do this, then the room stairs dark and when the Sinner jumps away, your target lock disappears.

Ranged Characters

Any type of ranged character is going to have a tough time during this battle. This is because the Lost Sinner tends to close gaps very quickly. She will rarely let you walk away without giving chase or lunging towards you. Mages and archers should go in light and be prepared to dodge quite often. If you have a 100% melee blocking shield that you can wield properly, it is suggested to have it up at all times in case a stray hit comes your way.
