Two-time Mr. Universe winner and The Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno might be 70 years old, but he still trains like a pro bodybuilder, despite having retired over two decades ago. In a recent Facebook Live video, the actor revealed that he trains every single day and remains consistent in his fitness and nutrition routine, as that is the only way he has been able to achieve the results he has throughout his career. He went on to detail what he described as his "best kept fitness secret."

"There's three great secrets," he said. "Eat good, sleep good, and train good. And remember one thing: health is your greatest wealth. Don't forget that."

In the clip, Ferrigno also pointed to a picture of himself from his professional bodybuilding days, when he was "300 pounds shredded" at the age of 43. He explained that he spent that time eating between four and five high-protein, low-carb meals a day and doing a lot of cardio as well as his weight training. "Sometimes I would train twice a day," he said. "It was like a full-time job, because to be in that condition, you have to have that hunger to compete, and nothing should stand in the way, no excuses."

He went on to say that the most important component in his preparation for bodybuilding competitions was his mindset: "The determination to do what you have to do to be successful and go after your goals, that's what most people lack today. You've got to believe in yourself, you've got to love your passion, and you've got to be incredibly fit inside, mentally, physically, emotionally."
