Early Career

Before he became a famous country singer, Luke Combs attended Appalachian State University and worked as a bouncer at a bar. He played his first show at the Parthenon Cafe, and after five years of working on his degree, he dropped out to pursue a career in music.

Later, he moved to Nashville and released his first EP, The Way She Rides, in 2014, followed by Can I Get an Outlaw. Inspired by artists like Garth Brooks, he released his first single in 2016, titled “Hurricane,” which debuted at number 46 on Hot Country Songs. After releasing his third EP, This One’s for You, he signed a deal with Sony Music Nashville and re-released his single, which reached No. 1 on the airplay chart.

Music Career

In June 2017, Luke Combs released his debut studio album, This One’s for You, which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums list. The album’s third single, “One Number Away” was released to country radio in January 2018, followed by the deluxe version of his debut album. His song “Beautiful Crazy” reached No. 1 on Country Airplay in February 2019, which meant his first five singles were all No. 1 hits.
