This Genshin Impact guide contains information on how to defeat the boss, Maguu Kenki located in Inazuma. Maguu Kenki is a returnee boss first featured in the Golden Apple Archipelago. In addition, this guide will also provide several tips and tricks that will help you take down the Maguu Kenki, as well as the rewards on offer.

Being a swordsman, Maguu Kenki uses a lot of sword techniques to damage the opponent. It also has skills that can pull you near it, so make sure to dodge/run away when you see a little wind effect happening around him while he has his sword sheathed and ready to strike.

Maguu Kenki Location

Maguu Kenki is located in Yashiori Island, Inazuma just beside Serpent's head. Previously, it was located in the Golden Apple Archipelago as the main boss fight in that area.

How to Defeat Maguu Kenki

Maguu Kenki encourages close-ranged combat than long-ranged as it can deflect projectiles from afar. You can still use bow/catalyst users, provided that you're near enough Maguu Kenki that his auto deflect doesn't work.

Phase One

Maguu Kenki's Phase one isn't anything special. He hits hard but slow and most of his moves can be telegraphed making it easier to dodge. Moves to keep an eye on is its whirlwind slash where it can pull you towards it which makes it harder to run away from and the Mask attack where Maguu Kenki's mask forms in front of him and blasts away towards your last general direction.

At around 70%-75% HP, Maguu Kenki enters his second phase.

Phase Two

Maguu Kenki's second phase happens when he pulls out his second sword and a shockwave blast happens as an aftermath of powering up. This is where things get tricky as Maguu Kenki becomes much more agile as he teleports around the stage leaving afterimages behind that do the same move that he does.

His moves largely stay the same, just with the added afterimage that does the same move which can mess up your timing if you're purely relying on dodging. Make sure to run away as fast as possible from its whirlwind slash and run around to avoid its blade beams. This fight can get pretty intense but we found out that just running around Maguu Kenki can make it a bit easier as most of its moves can be pretty linear. Rinse and repeat until you defeat Maguu Kenki!
