SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Many of movie's leading men may appear to stand tall, but au contraire. Literally, you might trip over these movie stars if you encounter them in person. Mickey Rooney, who died Sunday in North Hollywood, stood at 5 feet, 3 inches. Actor Danny DeVito, at 5 feet, would have looked up to Rooney.

Here's the lowdown on some of the fellow short guys:

Coming in at 5 feet, 5 inches: Daniel Radcliffe.

Standing at 5 feet, 7 inches: Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr. and Javier Bardem.

Measuring at 5 feet, 8 inches: Jeremy Renner and Don Cheadle.

If you consider 5 feet, 10 inches short, add George Clooney and Johnny Depp.

Of course, the Hollywood publicity machine may have rounded up some of these height stats.

Remember actress Nicole Kidman (5 feet, 11 inches) quipped on "Late Show With David Letterman" about her impending divorce from Tom Cruise (5 foot, 7 inches) in 2001: "I can wear heels now."
