For the Bona Bound

Below are travel times and highway directions from a number of starting points in the Northeast. The St. Bonaventure campus is situated between the village of Allegany and the city of Olean on Route 417, Highway, which is an extension of West State Street from the city of Olean. The main campus entrance is at the intersection of Route 417 and Constitution Avenue, directly across from Country Inn & Suites. The entrance is about two miles from exits 24 or 25 of Interstate 86. Upon entering campus, there is a vehicle pull-off spot and a lighted map to direct you. NOTE: All of the directions below bring you to St. Bonaventure via Interstate 86 (formerly Route 17). You will exit I-86 at either Exit 24 or 25. Following are directions to campus from both exits: FROM EXIT 24: At end of exit ramp, turn right. At end of road, turn left onto Route 417 East. Stay on 417 for about 2 miles (through village of Allegany). Campus will be on your right. FROM EXIT 25: At end of exit ramp, turn left onto Buffalo Street. Go about a mile and turn right onto Constitution Avenue (Intandem office facility is located at this corner). Follow Constitution to its end, at the main entrance to campus.

Getting to the SBU campus

From Buffalo, N.Y.: 1 hour, 45 minutes

South on Route 219 to Salamanca, then east on Interstate 86 (formerly Route 17) to exit 24. See From Exit 24 directions above.
South on Route 400, which turns into Route 16. Follow 16 to Hinsdale, then take Interstate 86 West to Exit 25. See From Exit 25 directions above.

From New York, N.Y.: 6 hours Across the George Washington Bridge to I-80 West. Stay on I-80 West until Route 380 North, then go north on Route I-81 to Interstate 86 (formerly Route 17). Go west on I-86 to exit 24. See From Exit 24 above. From Pittsburgh, Pa.: 4 hours North on Route 79 to Route I-80, then east on Route I-80 to Route 219. From the Syracuse-Utica, N.Y., area: 4 hours West on Route I-90 (N.Y.S. Thruway) to Geneva, N.Y., then south on Route 14 to Route 54. Bus runs to and from Buffalo

Fullington Trailways operates a daily bus to and from the Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center in Buffalo, New York (one trip per day in each direction). Bus tickets must be purchased through Fullington Trailways. Olean to Buffalo Airport Step 1. Visit Fullington Trailways Step 2. Purchase your ticket to Buffalo. The bus will take you to the Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center (not the airport). Step 3. Take a bus from the Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center to the Buffalo Airport. Based on your purchase: Take Fullington Bus at Trailways Bus Stop to the Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center and then connect with the Fullington Trailways bus to Olean. Option 2. Take Shuttle bus from Buffalo Airport to Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center. Step 3.
