Bronny James cannot enter the NBA Draft until 2024, but there is already talk about which teams might look to bring LeBron James' son to their franchise.

The current Los Angeles Lakers forward has said that he would like to play with Bronny, 17, in his last year in the league.

"My last year will be played with my son," James told The Athletic's James Lloyd.

"Wherever Bronny is at, that's where I'll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It's not about the money at that point."

That led to a lot of talk that LeBron may be looking to leave the Lakers, but he admits that the prospect would be an exciting one, particularly if they could both wear the purple and gold.

"I also have a goal that, if it's possible - I don't even know if it's possible - that if I can play with my son, I would love to do that," James said.

"Is that, like, something that any man shouldn't want that in life? That's like the coolest thing that could possibly happen. That doesn't mean I don't want to be with this franchise."

Will the Mavs draft Bronny James?

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was asked about whether his franchise could look to draft Bronny James in 2024, particularly with the idea of also bringing in LeBron alongside him, during an appearance on the 'Pardon My Take' podcast.

"I don't know," said Cuban.

"It depends on the circumstances and how good Bronny is. Would I just burn [a second-round pick] just to burn it? Probably not.

"And again, we'll have this guy named Luka [Doncic], who is really, really good. And so it would really depend on the team that we have around him."

Bronny James is a 6ft3 point guard and plays his basketball at Sierra Canyon High School.
