Matthew Broderick (born on March 21, 1962) in Manhattan, New York City, U.S. He is an American actor and singer.

Career

He attended elementary school at City and Country School and high school at the private Walden School in Manhattan. He earned acting training at HB Studio. Broderick is best known for his role in the teen comedy film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986) for which he received a nomination for the Golden Globe. He voiced the character of the adult Simba at Disney’s The Lion King (1994). He has won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor for his performance in the Brighton Beach Memoirs (1983). Broderick starred in the musical comedy The Producers (2001) and its 2005 film adaptation. He later rejoined with Lane in the showbiz comedy It’s Only a Play (2014). He won another Tony Award for Best Actor for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1995). Broderick starred in the Broadway musical Nice Work If You Can Get It (2012). For which, he received a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2013. In 2006, he received a star Hollywood Walk of Fame with a motion pictures star at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard. In 2017, he earned an introduction to the American Theater Hall of Fame. As of 2020, he remains the youngest winner of the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play.
