Maurice Benard Teases Sonny Returns In Time For The Wedding On ...

Maurice Benard continues to try to soothe the anger of GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers who are disgruntled with his current storyline. He has explained to those who watch the ABC soap that he is enjoying portraying Mike and that they should be patient. Once Carly and Jason decided to marry fans hit the roof and now Benard has offered a glimmer of hope. He recently teased that Sonny might return to Port Charles just in time for Carly's wedding to Jason.

While Maurice Benard says he has been having a ball, playing Mike, and stretching his acting skills, GENERAL HOSPITAL fans have been in an uproar. Nina falling for Mike and hiding his real identity has rubbed millions of loyal fans the wrong way. Benard has gone on record a number of times in attempts to reassure those who watch the show that all is well. Nothing has softened the anger of GH fans but this latest update might dial the fury down a notch or two.

There had been rumblings for the past month that Carly would marry a mob boss, or hook up with Jason or Jax. If Jarly does say I do, hopefully, Sonny will show up before the duo falls into bed. Jason still cares for Britt but no one knows when his feelings for Carly might take a turn. This is a messed up situation and GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers cannot believe the writers went down this road.

What is not known is whether or not Jarly says I do or if Sonny prevents the nuptials from taking place. Carly declared her husband dead but it has not been seven years. This would suggest that the marriage to Jason would be considered null and void. There are many factors in this situation that must be addressed and will be cause for alarm,

When Sonny does make hsi way back to Port Charles it's not clear whether or not he will recall who he is. The Corinthos clan will be shocked to see him and have many questions. If he does not recall hi9s real identity there will be a lot of time spent attempting to bring him up to speed. Carly and Jason's plan to show a united front to the mob will hit a major wall.

Vincent Novak is watching closely and once Sonny returns there will now be 3 individuals who have the ability to run the Corinthos organization. If Sonny does not initially recall who he is this leaves Jarly in a tight predicament. Jason and Carly will not be able to proceed as a married couple and the business will be vulnerable to attacks yet again until everything is sorted out.

There will also be the issue of Nina knowing that Mike was really Sonny and keeping her mouth shut. She will face a lot of backlash in Port Charles and might even lose visitation privileges with Wiley. In addition, Jason may have blown any chance of a romance with Britt who is now sleeping with Jax. There will probably be additional fallout that viewers have not yet figured out. One thing that is not clear is the real feelings between Jason and Carly which may become complicated in this tangled mess.

Liz and Sam were so distraught at the news that they started a fire. The two women discussed how Carly interfered with every woman Jason has ever loved including Courtney and Robin as well as themselves. Some fans want Sonny to return and claim his business as well as his family and are hoping Jason will walk away.
