It looks to me that the max level in Overwatch is currently diamond 5 stars level 100. After that it just starts with diamond 5 stars level 1 again. Is this correct or is there anything higher than diamond 5 stars level 100? Does Overwatch save the actual real level internally?

This is the highest level that players can see visually on their border, though I am unaware if it can show you your total level ups elsewhere. You can still "level up"by filling your XP bar, earning loot boxes. Your number will not visibility change anymore though.

I sorta recall a picture where someone had a blueish border…but I cant remember if it was just suggestion or an actual screen grab

That was a suggestion. Diamond is the highest what is a shiny plat afaik.

That would have been the diamond border. It has blue, and this silver-ish shiny metal color.

Oh it was definitely not the diamond border…it was different enough that I know I had never seen before…but I don’t recall where I saw it so cant really show you what I’m talking about

They definently need to update the borders now… a guy already reached max possible border

I disagree, you can’t just raise a cap just because someone reached the max level for it, you have to make it feel at least possible for others to get it, if you’re going to make the level super high then not many are ever going to get it without boosting in custom games (which imo is what most of them probably did anyway)

Dude, its probably really easy for them to make one more border… like its just a border, and we haven’t gotten a new one in a long time.

Quite a few people have already reached that border. IIRC Jay3 is one of them.
