What Does A Mayor Do?

The Mayor of a city controls all functions within a city including public transportation, law enforcement, fire protection, garbage removal, the city budget, among other things.

How Do I Become A Mayor?

A four-year bachelor’s degree is likely required to obtain these positions.  Some degrees to consider include political science, public administration, and psychology, although there is no specific requirement.  A law degree may also be very helpful.

What Is The Work Environment For A Mayor?

A mayor is an elected position, and will work for a city of any size.
