Welcome to McIntosh County…a quiet, coastal community that is home to pristine wildlife habitats, migratory bird paths, and a lighthouse that sentinels over the Sapelo sound. Ancient Oak trees veiled in moss adorn our many historic sites. Sweeping marsh vistas and winding rivers occupy every view. Shrimping and fishing boats have docked along our picturesque waterfronts for centuries, and all sorts of culinary delights are harvested from our healthy waters.
