Meagan Good was born on August 8, 1981, in Panorama City, Los Angeles, United States. She is the daughter of Leondis “Leon” Good, who is an LAPD Police Officer, and Tyra Wardlow-Doyle. She was raised with her three siblings in Canyon County, California. 

At the age of four, she started her acting career and appeared in many television series as an extra including Doogie Howser, M.D., and Amen.

In 1991, she made her professional acting debut in the crime-drama series Gabriel’s Fire where she played a minor role in an episode titled “Birds Gotta Fly”. Almost four years later, she subsequently made her film debut in a comedy film Friday.

She first rose to fame after playing the role of Cisely Batiste in the drama film Eve’s Bayou, directed by Kasi Lemmons. For her performance, she won two award nominations, including the NAACP Image Award nomination.

Over the next few years, she made episode appearances in many television series. She then finally got her television breakthrough role also as Nina in the American sitcom children’s shows Cousin Skeeter, which aired on Nickelodeon from 1998 to 2001.

Her other best-known performance includes Cece in Venom (2005), Shelley Baum in One Missed Call (2008), Luba Gibbs in Saw V (2008), Romy in The Unborn (2009), Mya in Think Like a Man (2012), and its sequel- Think Like a Man Too (2014), and Super Hero Darla in Shazam! (2019).
