Rihanna has announced that she is expecting her first baby with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky in a gorgeous snap showcasing her bump.

The Umbrella hitmaker, 33, whose pregnancy announcement look cost more than £8,000, wowed in ripped jeans and a Chanel pink puffer jacket as she flashed the first glimpse of her bump while leaning into her 33 year old beau.

And while Rihanna is likely to be thinking of monikers for her own little one, we couldn't help but wonder what her own real name is...

The mum-to-be was named Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados, by her accountant mum Monica and warehouse supervisor dad Ronald Fenty.

The Barbadian beauty changed her name from Robyn to her middle name of Rihanna, which is of Irish origin and means 'Great Queen', as she pursued her music career.

Robyn is of Old English origin and has the meaning of 'bright fame' which has clearly proved true for the Diamonds songstress.

However the gorgeous singer previously revealed to Glamour that she is still referred to as Robyn by her nearest and dearest.

She said: "When people call me Robyn, my head just flies around because I feel like that person knows me. But Rihanna, that tends to be people's own [creation]. Robyn is who I am. Rihanna—that's an idea of who I am."

Meanwhile Rihanna has previously explained that her name is mispronounced and, in a short clip for British Vogue, the pop star introduced herself as 'Re-Anna' and not 'Re-Ah-Nah'.

Rihanna also launched her cosmetics brand in 2017 which she named Fenty Beauty, which focuses on inclusivity for all skin tones, in a nod to her surname.

However Rihanna is not the only one in her relationship to have a different name from her stage moniker.

Her boyfriend A$AP Rocky was born Rakim Athelaston Mayers on October 3 1988 in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan before adopting the stage name.
