Definition of Mensa from the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary
Mensa /ˈmensə/ /ˈmensə/Mensa International /ˌmensə ɪntəˈnæʃnəl/ /ˌmensə ɪntərˈnæʃnəl/ jump to other results- a social organization for highly intelligent people. Established in Britain in 1946, it became an international organization in the 1960s. It is based on the idea that intelligence can be measured by special tests and only people who achieve very high scores in intelligence tests are allowed to join.
