Miami HEAT History

Founded in 1988 as an expansion franchise, the Miami HEAT has since reigned as one of the NBA's premier organizations, laying claim to 16 Southeast Division titles, seven Eastern Conference titles, and three NBA Championships. After hiring renowned NBA coach Pat Riley in 1995, the team won its first Championship in 2006, led by Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning, and Gary Payton. The HEAT then captured back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 behind their league-altering trio, “The Big Three,” headlined by Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh. Today, the HEAT continue to build on that legacy, with All-Stars Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro leading a new era of competitive excellence.

    Heat Experience

by Tom on 1/31/26Kaseya Center - Miami

We have been going to Heat games the past 6 years and unfortunately this one was a downgrade. No halftime performance, the cheerleaders performances were fair, the food options were 80’s ish, not what we have seen in the past. We did the pregame option to get in early and see the center and possibly get a bite to eat. They funneled you to the court and sat you down to watch a few players shoot hoops. None of the food stations were available and the 601 room was advertised as a pregame option but it was closed for a private party. Food options woeful. No Cuban restaurants, no nice dining, no fish, just hamburgers and hot dogs- wow 1980s fare. So, the Heat experience was meh. Advice, get dinner elsewhere and just go for the game.

Great Atmosphere and a Miami Heat Victory!

by Grace on 1/20/26Kaseya Center - Miami

I attended the basketball game between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder three days ago, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere inside the Kaseya Center was electric—full of energy, excitement, and passionate fans. The game itself was fast-paced and highly competitive, with great plays on both ends of the court. The Heat showed strong teamwork, intensity, and determination, which kept the crowd fully engaged throughout the match. Every basket was celebrated loudly, and the sense of unity among the fans was truly special. What made the night even better was the result: the Miami Heat won! The victory felt even sweeter being surrounded by such an enthusiastic home crowd. Overall, it was a fantastic sporting spectacle and an unforgettable way to experience NBA basketball live. I would absolutely recommend watching a game at the Kaseya Center—it’s an incredible experience.
