Michael Jordan revolutionized the game of basketball by earning dozens of awards and winning multiple championships. To this day, Michael is arguably one of the most known basketball players in the world. Yet, three decades ago with just word of mouth, Michael Jordan worked his way to the top starting from nothing, and still to this day is the most recognizable player today in the game of basketball. In Michael’s childhood he wasn't just playing basketball all the time, his parents taught him to always work hard. His Father taught him not to be tempted by street life and his Mother taught him basic needs, such as: cleaning, sewing, and doing laundry. A hero must possess a good example and determination. Expressing a good example to others creates positive manner and Michael Jordan shows this by never cheating in a basketball game and inspires people to have perseverance when practicing. Determination means that you never give up and always are wanting to accomplish things. Michael always put in countless hours of practicing and he never gave up. From these attributes, this makes Michael a great player. Michael Jordan possesses determination and passion in the game of basketball, therefore he is a iconic hero.

Michael Jordan worked hard everyday, by practicing all the time. From practicing and never giving up, Michael earned dozens of awards and won multiple championships.“The greatest thing about the game of basketball to me is the passion and the love I have for it. Because when you have a love for anything, you'll go to the extreme to maintain that level. That's what love does, it drives you to do everything to maintain that connection.” (Jordan) Every time Michael failed, he never gave up. When he failed it motivated him to practice harder and learn from his mistakes. He is always proud of his mistakes because he know that it’s apart of life. His mistakes in the game made him become a better person. “Coach Wooden stated numerous times that some of his most proud moments were not after winning national championships, but were after losses when his much less talented team gave it their all and still came up short. He knew by focusing on the process, the results would come.” (Allan) Michael always knew loosing was part of the game, so it pushed him harder to practice more. When Michael felt proud of himself it would motivate him to keep moving forward and to achieve greater things. Michael is very proud of all the times he worked on his mistakes and all the things he learned in his career.

Michael went out everyday and practiced doing what he loved and created a living out of it. “Each failure drove him to work on himself, to improve, to prove to everyone that he is the best.” (Complex) Michael enjoys watching from the courtside even though he cant play anymore. He inspires people to do what the love and to pursue that passion.If you are not doing something you like, then you can't be having fun. If you want to be successful you need to have a passion for what you are doing. Michael was so successful in the game because he enjoyed working hard and sweating. “Even when I’m old and grey, I won't be able to play it, but I’ll still love the game.” (Mr. Self Development) This shows that Michael still cares for the game even though he isn't the one in the game. Michael would always move around bumps in his path, and he made it happen by never giving up. As you can see Michael Jordan shows his passion and love for the game because he likes to practice and play basketball.

Michael Jordan possesses that he is proud and he shows his passion in the game of basketball, therefore he portrays an iconic hero. Michael Jordan revolutionized the game of basketball by inspiring people not to give up and to keep trying until you are successful. Michael inspires myself and others by showing his passion for the game. Even though he is retired from NBA he still has just as much fun by watching the game and keeping up with latest trends on the news and social media. Michael Jordan practiced and worked harder like nobody else so that he could live like no one else.
