Mike Tyson has said that he wasn't the biggest fan of the taste of Evander Holyfield's ear, 25 years after biting it off in the ring.

The incident made headlines at the time, and is one of the things that Tyson is best known for even today, despite his incredible career as a boxer.

During a radio interview with Alex Jones, media Tyson was chewing one of his popular 'Mike Bites', cannabis gummies, which are in the shape of Holyfield's bitten ear.

"It tastes better than Evander's ear," Tyson joked about the treats.

"Evander Holyfield's ear tastes like ass."

How did Mike Tyson bite Evander Holyfield's ear in 1997?

During the WBA world heavyweight title fight Tyson unexpectedly bit Holyfield in the ear in the third round.

"In the third round, with Holyfield dominating the fight, Tyson's bite occurred," wrote lvaro Roca, of MARCA, describing the incident.

"The challenger was fined a point, but in the next round, and to the shock of the public, he lunged like a hungry animal at his rival's ear.

"At that point, the referee ended the embarrassment by disqualifying Mike Tyson."

Tyson: I'd bite Holyfield again

"If he was to do what he was doing to get bitten, I would bite him again, yes," Tyson said in 2020.

"I bit him because I wanted to kill him. I was really angry because he hit my head and everything.

"It took me out of my fight plan and everything. Listen, good or bad, I'm not going to let anybody take my glory."
