AJ beat Andy Ruiz Jr at 237lbs in December having lost 10lb after being criticised for carrying too much bulk.

During his prestigious career, Tyson was at his best around the 220lb mark and the American claims to be back at that weight.

He told FightHype: “We’ve just been training, boxing, and it feels great man.

“I come from 289lbs to 220lbs.

“And I feel good.”

Tyson has been in great shape recently during a handful of public appearances, including a photo shoot on a beach.

After turning 54 last month, speculation is rife over who exactly the former champion will face should he step back into the ring.

Tyson Fury recently claimed a £500million “joke” offer was on the table for the WBC belt holder to step in as the comeback opponent.

A move over to the Octagon could be on the cards after Tyson talked up UFC legend Jon Jones as a potential rival.

But the favourite appears to be Shannon Briggs after the 48-year-old discussed a £20m proposal to face Tyson in a “steel cage” match.
