What is Milk and What Do They Do in Minecraft

What makes milk stand out from all other food is that it does refill any of your hunger bars. Instead what it does is clear all of your effects. Milk can also be used to craft other food in-game too.

Where to Find Milk

Milk doesn't spawn anywhere in-game. You have to obtain it by milking one of two mobs. Below you'll find a list of both mobs that give milk.

  • Cow
  • Goat

Once you have one of the two all you need to do is approach them with an empty bucket and milk them.

What Can I Craft With Milk

The only thing you can craft with milk is cake. Listed below are all the items needed to make a cake alongside a picture of the recipe.

  • Buckets of Milk: 3
  • Egg: 1
  • Sugar: 2
  • Wheat: 3
