    Can Milotic be Shiny?

Pokemon Go‘s Milotic is an elegant Water-type creature who resembles a graceful Loch Ness Monster. Like all Pokemon, Milotic’s weaknesses and counters are the keys to its defeat, so learn them before challenging it.

The beautiful Milotic is a Pokemon from Gen 3’s Hoenn region who – surprisingly – evolves from one of the ugliest creatures in the entire franchise, Feebas.

Even though it’s not the best at competitive play, Milotic can stand its ground thanks to its outstanding move pool, so if you’re planning on going up against it, better check out the best counters to target its weaknesses.

Milotic weaknesses in Pokemon Go

As a pure Water-type Pokemon, Milotic is weak against only two types of moves: Electric and Grass. This means the counters you use in battle should have those types of attacks to deplete Milotic’s health as fast as possible with super-effective damage.

On the other hand, this stunning creature can resist Fire, Ice, Steel, and fellow Water-type moves, so be wary of not taking any of those to battle.

If you don’t have any of those counters or their alternate forms, use your strongest Electric or Grass Pokemon to target Milotic’s weaknesses. Just make sure that they are properly leveled up and have matching movesets.

How to get Milotic in Pokemon Go

Currently, the only way players can get Milotic in Pokemon Go is through the evolution process. However, Feebas’ evolution method is not as quite straightforward as one would think.

How to evolve Feebas into Milotic

To evolve Feebas into Milotic, players must follow these steps:

  1. Catch a Feebas
  2. Set it as your Buddy
  3. Walk 20 km
  4. Gather 100 Feebas Candy

Once both the distance and Candy requirements are fulfilled, then the ‘Evolve’ button on Feebas’ page will become active. Tap on it and watch the ugly fish turn into one of the most beautiful Pokemon in the franchise.

Can Milotic be Shiny?

Yes, Milotic can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as this special variation was released at the start of the Feebas Limited Research back in January 2019.

Players can recognize Shiny Feebas because its usual beige body changes to purple, and the steel blue fins turn gray. In Shiny Milotic’s case, the turquoise tail changes to bright yellow, and what appears to be its eyebrows go from pink to a shade of purple.

Feebas is not an easy Pokemon to get, so the chances you can find its Shiny version are quite low, and there’s no special method to help increase them.
