She is best known for her appearance in the reality show ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.’ Born in Virginia, US, she had a troubled and unconventional childhood. She had a scarred relationship with her mother, as she had not told Mimi that the man Mimi thought was her father was not her biological father. When she was 6 years old, her mother joined the ‘Church of Scientology,’ a highly controversial faith. When little Mimi refused to work for the church, she was considered a freeloader and was exiled from the church. She was 13 years old then. Eventually, she came in touch with her biological father and stayed with him till his death. She started her career in the late 1990s, appearing in music videos of singers such as Jay Z and Kelly Price. In 2012, she joined the cast of the ‘VH1’ reality show ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,’ along with her former boyfriend and the father of her daughter, Stevie J. She soon became popular with the American TV audience.
